Scholarship Recipients

Mary Ellen Dunham, Chair
Kyle Valentine lives in Rye and attends Phillips Exeter Academy. He plans to attend Purdue University in the fall where he will major in mechanical and electrical engineering.
Courtney Tarantino, also of Rye, is this year’s recipient of the William Genimatas Scholarship which is awarded annually by the Genimatas family in memory of their father who belonged to the Portsmouth Rotary Club for many years. Tarantino will be attending Plymouth State College where she will major in early childhood education.
Julie Pridham of New Castle will be attending Brown University in the fall where she will be pursuing a degree in Egyptology. Pridham is the Salutatorian of the Class of 2006.
Dylan Montanari was born in Italy and presently resides in Portsmouth. He plans to attend the University of Chicago pursuing a dual major in Romance Languages and film studies.
Marta Lyons of Portsmouth will be attending Carleton College in Minnesota where she will pursue a degree in environmental science.
Michelle Huwe of Rye will be attending Grove City College in Pennsylvania and plans to pursue a degree in psychology with the goal of a career in counseling.
Nora Happny lives in Portsmouth and will be attending the College of the Holy Cross with a major in psychology.
Katherine Drapcho from Greenland plans to attend LaSalle University majoring in political science in pursuit of a law degree.
Jamie Cragnoline of Portsmouth will be attending Bates College in the fall and as yet has not decided on a major.
Evan Bellantone of Greenland will be attending Bard College in New York pursuing a degree in film. Having completed his senior year in January, Bellantone enrolled in and received a certificate in digital filmmaking from The Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University.
Emma Duffy-Comparone of Portsmouth is the Valedictorian of the Class of 2006. She will be attending the University of New Hampshire Honors Program this fall and plans to major in journalism.
