Another successful swim for The Portsmouth Rotary Club was held on January 13, 2007 in New Castle. This year's swim was dedicated to Rotarian Frank Butterworth who passed away recently. As an 84 year old, Frank braved 10 degree weather to participate in the first annual Polar Bear Swim in 2004, wearing his signature bow tie and top hat. This year the swimmers wore bow ties to honor Frank and many of his grandchildren swam to honor his memory. The weather for the 4th annual swim was almost 50 degrees.
