Pat Hersey and Cay Jarvis were dressed festively for the season. Ken Roberts had his green and Diane Seagren had her red but Leonard Seagren had ??? Luis Melchor was applauded for cleaning up the Christmas tree site before the construction crew arrived. Chris Sterndale had happy dollars for the opening of the new Crossroads facility and for the birth of his daughter. Patricia Cummings gave three happy dollars for her son's achieving Eagle Scout status, her daughter's performance in the Nutcracker, and for her children's persistent belief in Santa Claus.
John Pratt had a great Christmas tie but was fined for the fact that his wife does the treasurer's report. Dan Hoefle was fined for a victory in the HCA case. Jay Gibson also had a great Christmas tie but was fined for all the billboards advertising the Piscataqua Savings Bank. Two representatives of out excellent waitstaff David Underhill announced that fourteen interact members would help with the Polar Bear Swim and invited Rotarians to join his committee.
Russ Grazier, Jr. graciously accepted a $1000 from the Jeremy Alex Fund for the Portsmouth Music and Arts Council for use for young people in jeopardy. Tracy Tucker was pleased to receive a $1500 check from the Jeremy Alex Fund for the New Heights Program. Jackie Valley accepted a $1500 check from the Jeremy Alex Fund on behalf of the Community Diversion  Program. Guy Buesing gave Taylor Ferguson a check for City Year from the Svante Knistrom Foundation.
