Larry Gray announced his son got married at Wentworth Country Club while the groomsmen were ducking for “wandering mergansers” upon hearing “fore” during the service.

Sheri Donnemeyer topped Larry’s  donation and commented on the skunk that found Larry’s garage moments before 90 people showed up for the rehearsal dinner!  Larry’s dog got tagged and wanted indoors.   Fortunately, there was plenty of Bloody Mary Mix on hand to bathe his beast.  As of our meeting a week later, the skunk residue permeated the dog’s collar and parts of the house.  Have any fumigating recommendations for Larry?

This observer suggests Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide for the collar and little help for the house.

Guest Speaker

Maggie Hassan, democratic candidate for New Hampshire’s Governor, explained her agenda to move NH forward with her theme “Innovate NH.”

Addressing a large gathering at Portsmouth C.C. , she focused on job creation, business growth stimulated with tax credits and technical assistance, keeping taxes low, improving access to high quality and affordable health care and ensuring a quality education for every child … just to mention a few of her legislative endeavors since being elected to the Senate in 2004.   See her web site for more information: www.maggiehassan.com/about.

Perhaps one of the most compelling reasons for her being elected Governor is that she listens, and listens very carefully to “solve problems in a collaborative way.”  Since being appointed in 1999 by Governor Jeanne Shaheen to serve on the Advisory Committee to the Adequacy in Education and finance Commission, she gained valuable experience and understanding working within the legislature.  Her background and respect she shares with other politicos prepares her to effectively assume the role as Governor on day one.   In 2010, Business NH magazine named Maggie one of the state’s most powerful individuals because of her ability to get things done.

No match on the 50/50 raffle. Next meeting: $1500!!!
