Snow? What snow? Despite getting hammered by a storm outside, 60 plus Rotarians braved the weather and made it to the PCC for a great beef lunch. It was a magical meeting. More on that later.

John St. Pierre announced that our club will hold a special food drive at Philbrick’s Fresh Market THIS SATURDAY from 9 to 2…Leonard introduced a former Friends Forever participant who is now in the Israeli Navy…there is NO MEETING this Thursday at noon as we will all be at the AUCTION at the PCC Thursday evening. We have some great auction items including Red Sox tickets, massages and spa items, and foul weather gear. Go and bid often!

Michael Lohmeier is a magician/conjuror who has found his calling by happenstance. "I always wanted to be a magician," Lohmeier said. "When I was in college, I made extra money doing magic tricks." His parents had other ideas. Lohmeier got a degree in journalism and followed that up with an advanced degree in design. When he got out of college, he became a street performer in Paris. That was tough, so he came back to the States to get a “real job”. He worked for a business-to-business marketing firm in Boston for many years. His company was eventually bought and his department dissolved. He was laid off and had to make decisions as to what he could do during the current recession.

Michael turned back to magic. He does house parties, company parties, corporate venues, clubs, restaurants, just about anything. And who doesn’t love a magician?? Now how did he get that fake egg to turn into a real one????
